SlideToShutdown | Activate windows hidden feature

Windows 8.1 and  Windows 10 comes with a hidden "Slide to Shutdown" feature which allows us to quickly shut down our PC using a simple slide down mechanism.

This option isn’t activated by default, but it’s easy to activate and you can also create shortcuts for it.

To use this feature, launch the Run box (Windows+R is the quickest way to do this) and type
slidetoshutdown.exe

Click OK, and a shutter-style screen will appear. Swipe down to shut down Windows.

If you don’t want to be opening the run box and typing in a command every time you’re done with your computer, you can create a shortcut to it. To create shortcut

Right click on desktop

New>Shortcut
In the text box type slidetoshutdown and click next
and finally click finish.

Your shortcut is ready. Now double-click on it and Swipe down to shutdown Windows.

You can change the shortcut icon for better look.

Go to shortcut properties then change your desired icon.

You can pin it to the taskbar or Start screen for easier access.
